E-Commerce Context:

E-sales in Tunisia reached US$ 63 million in 2017, according to official figures of the Tunisian National Institute of Consumption (INC), which remains quite low compared to other African e-markets such as Morocco (US$ 2.35 billion) and South Africa (US$ 2.3 billion). Tunisia has a low level of cross-border transactions (3.5% of all transactions and 21% of total value against the world average of 50%), this is due to lack of a national e-commerce strategy, restrictive currency exchange and customs policies. As of 2019 there are 1,864 merchants (https://bit.ly/36vsslJ).
